Title: A GOOD thing....ATTRIBUTES
Description: Anything good to say?

I think The Apprentice Martha Stewart was the better Apprentice this year. She had creative tasks that a viewer could relate to the actual position. As you watch Donald Trumps show, a person often wonders what tasks relate to real estate. Overall business sense is the support behind most tasks, but some of the tasks didn’t make sense on his show.

I think with Martha’s show there was a couple “good things” that are great to mention, and possibly some improvements. I personally was inspired by Martha Stewart in her business sense, as for one example she asked questions of what went wrong with TASKS in the board room, not to place blame on PEOPLE but to feel out where the task went wrong. I personally think the blame game doesn’t create an outstanding organization as The Apprentice Donald Trump advertises. I like the fact that she knows the right decision and goes with it without question says she knows what she wants as she does in business. Watching her you could get a feel for what it would be like working for her. She really is an outstanding business person. However, I do think HER people skills need some work. The contestants were all outstanding in their own territory BUT they never got any recognition for their great efforts. Where was the encouragement? I thought Martha’s comments to and about the contestants was ALWAYS negative. Comments like “You’re a showoff”, “What were you thinking”... Left a bad taste in my mouth about Martha, not the contestants. Any person can see that they were all outstanding, and a bit of praise was worth some mention. I watched many of the contestants on her OWN day time show, and she never saves face, or makes anyone feel comfortable.

It would be nice to see a post where the strengths of each candidate was mentioned.... I would sure think they would need some encouragement after this series. Happy Posting to you all !!

First off, welcome to ART Robyn.

I'll be honest and admit that I stopped watching when they changed time slots, because it was against Lost. I think a LOT of people did (and a lot of people weren't interested in the first place).

Martha is terrible on her daytime show. She is one of the most "me-centred" people I think I've ever seen, and anyone else would have lost their show after the third week. Someone will start telling a story, and Martha will interrupt to tell a similar story about her niece. As to the negative comments, I disagree, I think she was unbelievably positive towards many of them in her courteous note to each of the contestants. I felt at times she wasn't nearly as mean as she could/should have been.

Yes, I stopped watching too about 1/2 way through. No one else I knew was watching and there was no one to talk about the show with, which for me is 1/2 the fun of watching.

I personally like Martha, but didn't think the show was very interesting unfortunatley and obviously so did the network big wigs because it will not be coming back.

Thanks for welcoming me...! :) I think your both right in what your saying. :D I think she does interrupt her guests on her show, but never less she is elegant, formal and ladylike. I think the apprentice contestants compared to her regular guests on her talk show were given more respect She belittled the “you don’t fit in” contestants the next day on her talk show, did you notice? Look at the day she had Jim on, or any contestant.

On her talk show, she tends to point out peoples weaknesses for casual conversation and then abruptly comments how she is perfect. It first I thought it was a slip, but she does it so often, it comes across a bit rude. She uses the wrong words often as well. I know I am not perfect, however she once returned from a commercial on her tv show to described her guest (a Golden Girls guest), re-introducing her as “she’s quite a chatterbox” Or, another example, to Bethany as a “showoff” as she decided Dona was her apprentice. She seems to be this woman with utmost elegance and properness needs a bit of touch-ups just like all the rest of us.
