There are lovers, and of course then there are the haters.
So are you a fan of Hip-Hop music?
It has taken the U.S. music scene by storm, and probably the world as well. When is the last time you switch on the radio station or MTV and hear or see a Hip-Hop song or video? Probably not too long ago.
On a personal level, I dislike Hip-Hop a lot. Firstly, the lyrics are usually nothing more than gangster rap and sex. Secondly, the videos are always loaded with girls wearing almost nothing. It's that seeing one is probably enough, but seeing a whole truckload of Hip-Hop videos with the same theme repeated over and over again surely pissed me off. Lastly, there's all this beef between rappers that can get boring - Eminem VS Ja Rule, Jay-Z VS Nas, 50 Cent VS Everyone.
However, despite the downside of Hip-Hop, I still believe that there are still rappers out there who can save Hip-Hop. They have not followed the trends, and chose to go with their own style, which is really what last in the music scene. Below are a few rappers that I believe are the pioneers in the Hip-Hop music scene:
1. Outkast
2. Kanye West
3. John Legend
4. Eminem
5. Snoop Dogg
6. Pharrell Williams
7. Common

Don't like it at all... it's just not my style
I agree with what you said g-a, but I still listen to guys like 50 Cent but I have no respect for him and his music. It's just something with a good sound but completely useless lyrics. My current favourites are:
1. Kanye West
2. Common
3. John Legend
4. Musiq Soulchild
5. Pharrell Williams
6. Jay-Z
And I waiting on a new CD by Dr. Dre. Snoop's last album was basically pure crap and I regret buying it.
